Default Troubleshoot pasting a picture into word, HELP topics not helping

I have never had trouble copying and pasting pictures from the Web into word
(these pictures are okay to copy) until recently. I can select the picture,
but not see it.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "Drawings" box and
uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | OK. And if you are working in
Normal view, try changing to Print Layout view.

Thanks for the reply, but I have tried that and it doesn't work. Any other
suggestions?

Hi, jdimbatt. My reply was to a question from "confused", not to you.
But if you have a similar problem and my suggestion didn't fix it,
another thing you might try is to reduce hardware acceleration in Start
| Control Panel | Display | Advanced | Troubleshooting.
