Default Word 2007 8.1-1 page numbering style

Argh! I need help with numbering and generating a toc with the following
page number style:

8.1-1 (where -1 is the actual page number) 8.1 is the chapter title.

Thanks ever so much!

I'm sorry, but for some reason I just can't get it. I am getting the
following error:

There is no chapter number to include in the caption or page number. To
apply chapter numbers use the Multilevel List button on the Home tab and
select a numbering scheme that is linked to the Heading styles.

The "chapter number" must be the auto number applied to one of Word's
built-in heading styles, as the article clearly explains.
