Default working with word documents from another firm

is there any official information to help me explain to attorneys why
sometimes problems in a document obtained from an outside firm that hasn't
been stripped & formatted using in-house styles/templates can cause major
problems that can not be fixed even when it's run through Docxtools? And
further support why it's necessary to follow these healthy document protocols
so that these documents don't encounter issues that would prevent the
operator from making whatever revisions/formatting request at that crucial
time which seems to always be the case. But, they refuse to follow these
protocols and attempt to blame it on the expertise of the operator.

Certainly there's nothing from Microsoft's side. You'd need to ask the
manufacturer of Docxtools whether they have anything.
