Under 'File' I used to have a 'Close' option. It's disappeared
The trouble with having to use 'Exit' to close out of a document is that all
the open Word documents then close - or queue up with the 'Save Changes?" dialogue box. |

I lost the same thing somehow (I'm using 2003) What I did was right click on
a toolbar, customize, commands, file and drag "Close" up to "File".
