Default Text Box Border Won't Work

I've created a form using tables with some checkboxes. I want the checkboxes
to be outlined in red instead of black. I read on someone else's post to
click on format/text format and then just change it there. When I go to
format, I don't have a "text format". I'm using version 2003. Thanks in
advance.

Try Format | Font, assuming that your check boxes are actually
characters in a symbol font.

If you are using text boxes, you can format their borders via Format |
Text Box.

If you are using table cells, format their borders via Format |
Borders and Shading.

If you need information about creating *clickable* check boxes, see:

I guess I used the wrong subject. I'm using "check box form field".

Thanks - that worked except maybe I'm being a little picky but I don't want
my font to change to red, only the border to the check box. Is this
possible? Thanks

Did you select only the check box when you changed the font color? This will
change only the check box, checked or unchecked.

Default Text Box Border Won't Work

I hi-lited only the text box. Right mouse click, font, red. This did what I
wanted (changed the square part of the box to red). But then I locked the
form to test it, I clicked in the red box & now a red "X" is typed in the red
box. I want a Black "X" in a Red Box. Thanks.

Sorry, you can't have a black X in a red box (whichi is what I meant by
"checked or unchecked").
