Default auto format definitions for fractions

I'd like to use Word as a recipe editor for a cookbook I'm putting together
and the only fractions currently recognized to auto format to a fraction
character are */2 and */4. How do I change the definitions to recognize all
number combinations seperated by '/' to auto format to fraction character?

You can't do ALL of them: you can do only those for which you have an actual
character in the font you're using. 1/2, 1/4, and 3/4 standard. The thirds
and eighths are in the unicode set starting at H2153, so you can set up
AutoCorrect entries for those. Can't imagine that you'd need higher
denominators than those for a cookbook.

As a reader of cookbooks, I prefer decimals.

Alternate approach--consider recipe software, which has all sorts of fancy
tricks like scaling up, scaling down, and compiling your grocery list. Look
for one that prints nicely, and distribute as a PDF if you want to email it
around.
