Hi,
I have problems with my page set up... paper is set for A4 but in the document is appears larger and when I adjust margin the paper changes in size in the document - not the text margins. If the document "appears larger," it could be because you have "white space"
hidden (see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm) or the document contains markup (tracked changes or comments) and Word is allowing extra margin space for the "balloons." Or it could just be that you have the Zoom set too high. -- Suzanne S. page set up .. basic I know but it drives me crasy
Hi Suzanne,
first of all thanks for your great advice and help in this matter and my other posted problem. My problem is not "White space" but the fact that my page is set up for A4 (that means a width of 21 cm.) My ruler shows 21 cm but does not cover the width of the paper shown - the paper seems to be 3 cm lager. And I have been changing the margins for the paper and strange things happen. I have tried to press Default but that does not give a "standard" page. What can I do ?- I can make you a "Print Screen" picture for you if that is better ? Jan "Suzanne S. Note that pressing "Default" sets rather than restores defaults. This is a
common misunderstanding. But in your case I would guess that the document contains markup. Display the Reviewing toolbar if it is not already displayed, and change the view to Final. Does this make a difference? If so, see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trac...ngesWorks.html -- Suzanne S.
