2-letter TOC prefixes--any kind of workaround?
I'm trying to add a two-letter prefix to the page numbers in an appendix
which then carry over to the photo-list-TOC (like "LF-3"). It seems that, in general, WORD doesn't allow this. I'm wondering though if there's some way I can use fields to trick it. For example, if I set up SEQ fields with names of Area1 and Area2 and set each to be the letter that I want. So if I set up "LF" as {SEQ AREA1\ALPHABETIC \R12 \*MERGEFORMAT}{SEQ AREA1\ALPHABETIC \R6 \*MERGEFORMAT} , then is there a way I can get the TOC to recognize BOTH Area1 and Area2? -- in {TOC \h \z \c "Photo" \s "Area1" } ? I've tried adding a second \s "Area2" and also then appending "Area2" in various forms after "Area1" but none have worked. I'm hoping there's some punctuation I can add between "Area1" and "Area2" where both will show up. I'm working with WORD 2007 in files saved to be compatible with 2003. |
