Default Task Pain

I acidentally undocked the Task Pane, and had difficult time re-docking it to
the right side. I finally got it stuck back to where it belongs. However,
now when it shows up it is huge! It takes up about 2/3 of the screen. I
re-size it, but each time it comes back it is huge again.

Is there a way to force the size of the Task Pane?

I'm not sure what could be causing this, but I suspect there might be a
corrupt registry entry. Have you tried exiting Word and deleting the Data
key? (See also http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm.)

Note that if deleting the Data key doesn't help, you could try deleting the
whole Word key in the registry.
