Default Automatic Date Fied

Is there a way to open a document that has an automatic date field so that
the date field doesn't update? I need to open a document with the original
date instead of the current date.

If you use a { CREATEDATE } field instead of a { DATE } field, the data will
remain as the date upon which the document was created.

If you use a { SAVEDATE } field, it will display the date upon which the
document was last saved.

i would suggest taking that field out completely and just typing in the
orginal date.

Or from the "date&time" field options, unlick the "update automatically"
button.

hope that helps!

If you put a create date field in the template, typing the data each time is
not necessay. However, instead of taking the field out and having to type
the data, select the field and use Ctrl+Shift+F9 to convert the date to
ordinary text.
