Default Footers

My document has two pages in section 1 - I created a new section and unlinked
the footer from the previous section. I want the page numbers to begin with
1 of X on the 3rd page (with 1 of 2 for the first two pages) - I can't get it
to work. It keeps coming up with page 3 of 3, etc. After the first page it
does show "page break" and after the second page it shows "section break"
(next page). What am I doing wrong?

Have you restarted numbering in Section 2 (Format Page Number)? That's the
first step. Then Alt+F9 to display the field code for Page X of Y and change
the NumPages field (the Y value) to SectionPages. Alt+F9 to toggle back and
F9 to update.
