Default In MS Word 2003 how do I display values as both numbers and text?

Is there a field that will automatically display a value in both numerical
and text format? e.g. ‚¬ 400 (four hundred Euros).

You would need two fields with different switches eg (here using REF fields)

{ REF Amount \# "?,0 }({ REF Amount \* Cardtext } Euros)
