Word 2000 cannot save as .doc
All my documents default to .txt. If I go in 'save as' and select .doc, I get
the "Word has generated errors and needs to close" message. I have removed & reinstalled. I have addressed normal.dot. All other programs in Office 2000 work ok. |

Probably time to dump Word's registry key, Kevin. See:

I just tried that and the problem is still there. Argh! I have already
reinstalled it twice, too. Any other doomsday solutions I can try, or do I need to invest in new word processing program? "Anne Troy" wrote: Probably time to dump Word's registry key, Kevin.
