Default Why can't I set my return address to default?

When I am printing envelopes I constantly have to amend my return address
information, even though I have selected it to be my default return address
numerous times. Can anybody suggest what I may be doing wrong? I'm using
Windows 2002.

Enter the address at tools options user information -
or
use the technique shown at
http://www.gmayor.com/Alternative_Return_Addresses.htm
or
Use an envelope template (examples for download from my web site).

Thank you for the response. Sadly this worked while Word remained open but
once I closed and re-opened it had not retained the new information again.

No. I only have Acrobat 7 Reader and I do not have the tool bar in my Word.

On reflection the user details are stored in the registry. The data key
sometimes corrupts. You may fix it by resetting the data key -
http://www.gmayor.com/my_toolbars_are_missing.htm. This will lose some
personalisations.

Sadly it still does not work. After following the web page instructions all
of my settings were returned to the original default settings. Upon changing
them, closing Word then re-opening, my return address was missing part of the
information that I'd entered. If I amend with missing details when I re-open
Word the same missing information has gone again.

This is so frustrating.

Something is preventing the changes and the obvious candidates have been
eliminated - see if the trouble shooting tips at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm offer any further
insights.
