Find syntax for /*..........*/ ?
Hi, I tried using the following search string :
/\**\*/ but it didn't work. I can find the start and end of a block of text using /\* and \*/ respectively but not the entire block. Any suggestions? Tx, Tad |

Find syntax for /*..........*/ ?
Put parentheses around the star that represents the interior of the
string: /\*(*)\*/ I don't know why that helps, but it does. Apparently the matching algorithm gets confused by consecutive stars. shrug -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
