Default How do I protect a word form but allow hyperlinks back to the web

It works for any hyperlinks, internal or external. (Be sure to read the
information in the article under the "Warning!" heading before you click an
external link in Word.)

I prepared a form using MS Word with hyperlinks to the web.
When I protect the form it does on allow the hyperlinks to work.
Left unprotected the links work beautifully

I am working with Word 2003
