Default Word 2003 .. Page setup shows that a new section is started with .

I am writing a multi page letter and only want the header on the first page.
Page set up shows that a new section is created with each new page. I cannot
unlink the pages to delete the header and footer... Unlink does not work.

You shouldn't be starting a new section on each page, so you won't need to
know how to unlink them. See
