Default Ever seen "Char Char Char Char Char Char1 Char Char Ch" style?

This style appeared in my document, and I can't get it to go away. I can
delete it, but when I close the document and re-open it, it's back. It
doesn't seem to actually affect the existing styles, but it's obviously not
supposed to be there and I'd really like to know how to get rid of it and
keep it out of other documents in the future.

I don't think this applies because I am pasting in Unformatted Text. The
"Char Char..." does not come after a current style like "Heading 1 Char
Char," it's by itself.
