Default Assigning Keys for Macros

We are wanting to set up some macros in Word in a template for all to use
here in the office, but whenever we go to assign the macro to a key such as
Alt+2 or whatever, it won't work and it will only work when you go to Macros,
and click Run.

Could someone please help us so that we can assign the keys so that everyone
in the office can use these?

ToolsCustomize, click Keyboard. Select "Macros" on left, select correct
macro on right. Assign keystroke.
