Is there a way to add quotation marks to highlighted text?
Can you automatically add quotation marks or parenthesis to text that you
highlight? |

There's no built-in way. However, here's the macro I use:
Sub QuoteIt() Selection.Copy Selection.TypeText Text:=Chr$(147) + Chr$(148) Selection.MoveLeft Unit:=wdCharacter, Count:=1 Selection.Paste Selection.MoveRight Unit:=wdCharacter, Count:=1 End Sub If you want straight quotes and have Smart Quotes turned off in Autoformat as you type, you can substitute 34 for 147 and 148 in the 3rd line. I have this macro assigned to Ctrl+Shift+". -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Please respond in the newsgroups so everyone can follow along. http://www.herbtyson.com "Kathy_L" wrote in message ...
