Default Is there any way to open up old Lotus WordPro documents in Word?

I have a lot of old Lotus SmartSuite WordPro documents from "long ago" (about
7 years). Lotus is gone, Smartsuite won't work with XP etc. (even if I could
find the original program CD). I want to be able to open these docs, save
them to Word format and/or print them in hardcopy. Help appreciated!

There is no filter for WordPro available from Microsoft. There are a couple
of third party filters out there eg Dataviz available at extra cost.

Word cannot import or convert native-format Lotus WordPro (.lwp)
files. If you have WordPro, use it to "save as" to Word (.doc)
or Rich Text Format (.rtf) files, both of which Word can open.
Or you might consider a third-party conversion program such as
Dataviz Conversions Plus (
http://www.dataviz.com/products/conv...lus/index.html ).
