InsertStyleSeparator - Word 2007 issues
This may cross borders with other versions, too.
This issue comes up when trying to format a portion of a paragraph as Heading x - for TOC purposes - and the rest of the paragraph as normal, as documented in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/285059 Using the InsertStyleSeparator command (Ctrl-Alt_enter) while typing in a new document or at the end of an existing document, all is well. However, if a new paragraph is inserted before an existing para, use of the command fouls up the formatting in the following para. Two options: first is I'm doing something wrong, but that can't POSSIBLY be the case. Second is that Word isn't behaving properly. Anybody else encounter this, and are there any prescribed steps for doing this, or other workarounds? |
