Default Word Content disappers

Hi,

I use win98 with ms office 2000 in my office for 50 computers. All the
systems are in 2000 domain. Users type word douments and save it in the
domain. Some times while typing the file, the content of the file gets
changed automatically... which i have copied and pasted below. This happens
for all users, but rarely. I want to prevent this because it wastes their
precious time. I have scanned all machines for virus and all machines are
virus free....could anyone help me to solve this problem...

Hi Venkat,

When you use the File Open dialog, pay special attention to the "Files of
type:" dropdown at the bottom of the dialog. If it says "Recover text from
any file", change it to "Word documents" or "All files".

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/RecoverText.htm for more
information.
