Default Link Text in a Document?

Hi,

Is there a way to have text typed in one place in a document, appear
automatically somewhere else also?

Specifically, On the first page of my document I want to type in a Chapter
No. 'One', 'Two', 'Three' etc. and have the same Chapter No. text appear in
the footer.

e.g.. The first line of the document will literally say 'Chapter One'
I want the footer of every page to have the corresponding word 'One'
inserted automatically.

I am using Word 2003.

Thanks for any help.

Colin

For this case, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/ChapterNumber.htm
(noting that "One" can be inserted as auto paragraph numbering). For other
instances, see http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Repeating_Data.htm
