Default How to display OVR in the Word 2007 status bar?

When I clicked on the links in the answer from the Microsoft Community
Notification, nothing appeared on the screen except the addresses in the
address bar.

Do yourself a BIG favour and ditch the horrible web interface. Use a
news reader instead.
