Default Word Changes Author of Reviewer in Tracked Changes

I'm using MS-Word 2003 on Windows XP.

A reviewer returned a document I created with markups and comments
highlighted in red with the reviewer listed as "Author."

When I make changes to the doument, Word initially uses my initials
from "Options/User Information" to identify my subsequent changes and
comments and highlights them in blue, as it should.

But when I save the document, my changes and comments revert to red and
are identified as having been made by "Author" instead of my initials.

Anybody have any idea of what's going on and how I can keep my comments
seperate from other reviewers.
