hopefully soomeone can help me. Everytime i open up word=20
the i have a random '=EC' at the top of the page. i cant=20
delete it and i have checked the template normal.dat.=20
Whats more is i am only able to type infront of the=20
character and when i print, all i get is a blank sheet.=20
Far from '=EC-deal' as you can imagine.

It's difficult to tell from your post whether you are seeing the letter i or
I or some special character 'ì'. Perhaps you're seeing the paragraph mark
(¶)? If so, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm. Or
it could be the mouse pointer, which for text is an I-beam. Are you saying
that the mark you see doesn't print or that nothing you type prints?
