Default Character Cropping

When i open a new document in word and set the character font size to 24 or
higher the top of the characters appear to be cropped. If i move the
characters further down the page they still appear to be cropped. i am using
Word 2003 on an XP Pro Machine

Shaun,

Your paragraph line spacing is set to an "exact" measurement.
FormatParagraphLine spacing and change from "exactly" to one of the other
options

Much Appreciated, is it possible to change the default for line spacing so
that it uses one of the others all the time??

Open your template (the .dot file that you base your documents on and is
probably Normal.dot) and change it there and save.

The default line spacing for all styles in the factory-default Normal.dot is
Single, which expands or contracts as necessary to accommodate any size
font. If a given style in your template is set to Exact line spacing, then
you need to modify that style, but if you're applying direct font formatting
where you should really be creating a new style, then you will not want to
modify the style.
