Default Page Breaks

When using MS Word It only shows page 1 even though I may have 5 or 6 pages.
How can I set it up so I can see when I am at the end of a page? It use to
show lines across the screen when I neared the end of the page, but they are
gone.

Dan,
Do you mean the dotted line at the bottom of a page? That only shows in
Normal view.
If you say it only shows one page are you in print preview or in Print
Layout the maximum you can see in Print Layout is two pages. In Print
preview you can determin the number of pages you see by dragging the button
for multiple pages.
Somehow I get the feeling you want something else, can you elaborate?

Actually, in Word 2003, you can view more than 2 pages (just like with
traditional Print Preview) in Print Layout mode.

This could be because you have "Background repagination" disabled on the
General tab of Tools | Options. This should be reenabled when you switch to
Print Layout view. If you can't see more than one page even in Print Layout
view, then go to Format | Columns and click on the box labeled "One." Even
if it is already selected, click it again anyway.

It could be that you have the Tools, Options, View tab, "Wrap to Window"
feature checked. If you do, there is no dotted line showing, even in
Normal view, because the text is no longer arranged by actual page
layout, but in order to fit the window size. Uncheck that feature and
the dotted line will return.
