Default inserting document w/end notes to another with end notes

the end notes to not become continuous. How can I make them continuous.
I've all ready tried renumbering and making it continuous. It did not work.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a section break between the two document parts?
If yes, the problem could be that you have applied the €śContinuous€ť setting
to only the first section (i.e. €śApply changes to€ť was set to €śThis Section€ť
instead of €śWhole document€ť).

Try to check this:

Go to the endnotes.
Right-click an endnote number belonging to the *last* document part and
select €śNote Options€ť. Numbering must be set to €śContinuous€ť (and not
€śRestart each section€ť).

Lene,

Thank you for the advice, however, I've even tried that one. I have
corrected the problem manually. It took a while but it's done. I went to
each footnote on the inserted document and inserted footnote to be continuous
then copied the note and pasted it into the new number.

Next time, I'm going to have my client renumber the footnotes on the
inserted document BEFORE combining them.

It's strange, the documents I created for him, once combined, the footnotes
automatically renumber to become continuous. Oh well.
