How do I select text from a certain point in Word to the end?
I can place the cursor at a point, hold Cntrl and then drag to the the end in
order to select text, and then just hit the Delete key. I am taking first bits of very long documents, and then having to delete the rest (which takes a long time to scroll through the remainder of the document), so: Is there a combination of keystrokes in Word to simply select (highlight) from wherever the cursor is to the end of the document, so that pushing Delete then will get rid of the highlighted text? TIA. |

Place the insertion point at the end of what you want to retain, the use
Shift+Ctrl+End to select the rest of the doc. Press Delete, then save or save as. Oh, yes. YES!!! It works like a champ! Thank you very much. (Why can you
not find these shortcut key-strokes described in the Help Files when you query them?) Truth be told, I actually tried a number of these key combination, but I guess I never hit on the correct one. Nice to have "betters", more experienced - and probably richer and younger - than I. Again, thanks.
