Data file , merge when opeing .doc
Hey,
I have no expierience in this case but I have to change an existing merge. Office 98. When I open a .doc automatically the doc merges with a data file. But now the datafile is in a different directory. Is there somebody who knows where in Word I can change that directory. Or even more I don't understand that when opening a .doc it automatically merges, where or how you can do this? Tkx |

There must be an autoopen macro in the document, or if you are using
FileNew and then selecting the document, it will be an autonew macro. If you hold down the Shift key when opening the document, the autonew macro will not run. You will then be able to use the mailmerge helper to attach the data source in its new location to the document and then save it so that the next time it opens, it will have the datasource attached. -- Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be interested.
