Default How can I stop Word from opening a webpage files as read only?

When I open files created and saved by Word 2007 to edit them, they open as
read only so that I have to change the name every time I save them. This
didn't happen with XP. How can I stop Word from automatically opening files
in read only mode?

what kind of files? In the subject line, you're talking about "webpage
files" -- in what format and where are you saving the files first?
