I recently moved up to a new computer with XP and Word 2007. I have a lot of
previous experience in moving around WordArt text to label maps. With my new system, I can get WordArt text to appear and the two headed arrows will appear around the activated text box - but the four headed arrow, needed to move the text to where I want it, does not appear. How do I get the four headed arrow to appear at the text box? |

Change your Text Wrapping to something other than In Line with Text.

Thanks. Different wrapping works, but only with "Behind Text" or "In Front
of Text". Others did allow the four arrow symbol to appear, but only allowed the text to be moved up and down. Strange - yesterday I tried all wrapping options, but never had the four head arrow appear. I have had some other whacky things happen too - like not being able to activate the WordArt text in the document - highlighting the text and cutting it also removed the inserted street diagram I am using. Also, I have had wrapping default back to "In Line With Text". No further questions at this time. I probably just need to get used to this Word 2007 edition. Thanks again. And, thanks to whoever invented the "UnDo" command.
