How to print 4 x 6 continuous feed index cards
Need to print a large quanity of notices and have an ample supply of Quill
#7-11982 continuous feed index cards. Would like to create a Word document and print these on an OK Data printer. Need to know how to set up the document so it will properly print on these cards. I don't find an option for these cards and presume I will have to set something up. Because I am doing this project for several locations, any help will be greatly appreciated. |

You may have to create a new label definition. In Tools | Envelopes and
Labels, select "Dot matrix." Start with Avery standard 4166 Index Card or 4167 Post Card, click New Label, and enter the appropriate dimensions for your cards. -- Suzanne S. Thanks, your instructions worked fine for the layout, however, when printing
the text, part of it prints over other parts. This only happens on two lines but will print fine on a laser printer. Any suggestions on configuring the OKDATA printer? "Suzanne S. I have no experience with Okidata printers, but I would guess that this is a
line feed or form feed issue. There's usually a way to set the form length in such printers, but it's been so long since I've had to do it (and I suspect it varies so much from printer to printer) that I wouldn't even want to guess. Time to haul out the printer manual! It's also possible that, if these are friction-feed rather than pinfeed cards, the feed mechanism is just slipping, possibly because the rubber platen or grippers are perishing. -- Suzanne S.
