Default Html was stripped before it went out?

I've been using XP and Office 2003 Pro to run HTML email merges since August
without a hitch. Then I upgraded one machine to Vista and 2007. The emails
that came to me (amember of the list ) was in plaoin text as were all the
messages in my sent items box they were plain text. A friend forwarded one
to me and it was in HTML.

So to avoid any issues, I ran the last email merge from my XP/ 2003 laptop.

Same thing only now I think everyone's was in plain text. I clearly used
HTML as the format at the end of the WordOutlook merge....why would the
messages in my Sent Items folder be in plain text?

Thanks,

-a
