Default when creating webpage, avoid size change because of screen resolut

I am using Word to create my website, how can I ensure that the size of my
webpage is not modified depending on the resolution of the screen I look it
on?

Might be worth posting this query on a web-programmers site for definite
answer but I think that varying resolutions are always an issue when
designing web pages -even sites for some big companies seem affected by this
- web pages on my flat screen with higher res often look different to when I
see them on my 5 year old monitor so I have to scroll to see the bottom of
the page etc. (Not sure if still the case but I know it was an issue for my
company used about 18 months ago when our website was updated - that was
using the cold fusion programming language though)...
