I have a user whose laptop crahes repeatedly while he is making corrections
in Word (the laptop is a Toshiba tablet). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Microsoft Office XP Professional suite, which has solved similar problems in the past, but in this instance it did not. Any suggestions on what might be triggering these crashes? |

Usually, it would be a corrupted normal.dot or other template or corrupted
registry entries. Following the procedures shown here usually resolve the problem: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm Note that despite the fact that this is named "Problems Opening Word," it's really much broader than that. Some of the same issues that can prevent Word from opening properly can cause other problems as well, such as the kind this user is seeing. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP http://www.herbtyson.com Please respond in the newsgroups so everyone can follow along.
