How can I convert old MS Works documents to Office XP?
I recently came across some old disks containing Microsoft Works files
(*.wps) and I am looking for a way to view them with Word. Is there a conversion template or something I need? |

Word should be able to do it: Files Open Files of type All files *.* Make sure your Office CD is available to the system in case Word needs to fetch a converter or something off it. Unfortunately this will not work unless you have the correct converter and for old files that will not be on the Office disc. Microsoft changed the format of Works files quite frequently so you need to know the correct version. The various filters are linked from the downloads page of my web site. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org |
