Default How do I convert a WORD document to an EXCEL spreadsheet?

I am trying to just do this by cutting and pasting and Excel is reformating
into different columns, etc. Isn't their an easier way to do this?

When you move Word data to Excel, Excel treats paragraph marks as an
indication for a new cell. So, before you cut and paste, you will have to
get rid of the paragraph marks. To avoid messing up the Word document
itself, you could copy the data to a blank Word document, then delete the
paragraph marks--or replace them with end-of-line marks. If the Word data
are not already in a table, it will work better if you convert into one.

FWIW, Excel will split cells at line breaks, too. Better to replace
paragraph breaks with something like @@, then search for those in Excel and
replace with paragraph breaks.
