This is almost always the result of an add-in, virus program or other
"utility" which prevents the changes from being written, so that's the first thing to check for. Also - just because of the phrasing in your post - there is no "auto save" [per se] in Word. What you are referring to is Save AutoRecover Data which is a totally unrelated feature that allows Word to recover unsaved content in the case of a failure. It has nothing to do with automatically saving your file or settings. If you need to post back, be sure to include what versions of Word & Windows you're using. Dear Bob - thanks or courtesy of your quick reply. You will see from subject
line it is Word 2003 on WXP Pro Doubt it is any add ins as I have two other notebooks with identical configurations. Thanks also for corrceting my description of the save feature that is not working. Also, in Tools Options View I changed Formatting Marks to display All, and I changed Spelling & Grammar settings and these are not preserved. Any other ideas? Thanks "CyberTaz" wrote: This is almost always the result of an add-in, virus program or other "utility" which prevents the changes from being written, so that's the first thing to check for.
