Mailing Label wizard
In Word 2003 I can no longer make mailing labels from a database in Excel.
It wants me to be a company instead of a small club that mails monthly newsletters. It thinks all my data is in Outlook instead of Excel also. How can I custom make a basic mailing label based on my headers in Excel? I could do this easily when I had Word 2000. |

I use Excel data sources for mail merges all the time in Word 2003. You can
absolutely select an Excel sheet as a data source. Where are you encountering difficulty? -- Suzanne S. Mailing Label wizard
I encounter problems when I go to Word and try to find a way to go through
the mailing label wizard. In Office 2000 this was easy. Can you give me the path as help doesn't do it for me. It tries to do a mailing letter type of label instead of one created from my Excel list. To format the label with my Excel headers is what I used to do in 2000. Thanks for any help. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: I use Excel data sources for mail merges all the time in Word 2003. FWIW, I never use the wizard, but it should give you the opportunity at the
outset to choose the type of merge (Labels) and the data source (you have to browse for it). If you're fairly familiar with how to create mail merges, you can do it manually using the Mail Merge toolbar, which has a button for Open Data Source. Thank you Suzanne, I will go over your tutorials and see if I can solve the
problem. Your information is very interesting. Thanks again. Lynne "Suzanne S.
