I am using Word 2003 and everytime I open a document I get that "Getting
Started" on the right hand side of my page. Is there a way to turn this off?

If clearing the check box for "Show at startup" doesn't do the trick, then
you need the Task Pane Controller add-in from
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...owTaskPane.htm
