Pictures
Clip art *is* a picture. That is, if you click on a photo or clip art
picture, you get the Picture toolbar. Word uses the word "picture" in general to refer to any graphic (photo, clip art, etc.), as opposed to "drawings" created with the drawing tools. In some cases, however, "drawing" refers to anything in the drawing layer (which can include "pictures"). -- Suzanne S.
