Default Minimizing a maximized "Open Files" window in Word 2003

Somehow, when I open the window to open a file in Word - it is maximized -
taking up the entire screen. There is no minimize/maximize button - only a
"?" and an "X" in the upper right hand corner. When I right click on the
title bar, and then click "Restore" nothing happens.

This has happened to me before - but I have forgotten how I got this window
back down in size!

Can anyone help me? There must be some way of getting this "Open File"
window to shrink back down in size so it doesn't occupy the entire screen!
Why can't there just be a minimize/maximize button in the upper right hand
corner like there is on every other screen???

Thanks!

DJ
