Problem with OpenFile dialogue box.
I have Word2003.
On pressing the "Open" button on the menu bar a dialogue box appears. In the "File Name" drop-down box, what is the proper way to use this because when I add the path to a file all I get is an error message saying "The file name or format is not valid!"? Is there some new procedure required for Word2003, because it worked fine for Word2000 which I had before? Please help, Frank |

Problem with OpenFile dialogue box.
If you are adding a path - does it work if you put quotes around the
filename/path eg "c:\path\filename.doc" ? If so see : How to re-register Word when problems crop up opening files http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ReRegisterWord.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Frank Martin wrote: I have Word2003.
