If you have graphics in your document that you want to extract to a graphics
format, see http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm. If you want
to convert your text to a picture, you have several options.

1. If it will suffice to copy the body text (excluding any header or
footer), you can select the text on a page (no more than a page) and Copy.
Then use Paste Special as Picture to paste the text back in as a picture.
Use the information in http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm to
convert that picture to an external graphic file.

2. If you need a picture of the whole page, you will need to use a screen
shot. Display your document in such a way that the entire page is visible
(perhaps in Print Preview). You'll probably want to size the window as close
as possible to the size of the displayed document and remove as many
toolbars and other borders as possible from the UI. Then press
Alt+PrintScreen to copy the active window to the Windows Clipboard. Use
Ctrl+V to paste the image back into your document or into a graphics editing
program (to remove the excess detail).

3. For such cases, however, a dedicated screen capture application such as
SnagIt (www.techsmith.com) is much easier to use. You can capture a selected
area of the screen (your Word page); enhance it (if desired) with a shadow,
any of various edge treatments, arrows or other markup, etc.; and save it in
any of a wide variety of graphics formats.
