Normal.doc shows up in my last five documents
I am using Word XP. When I load up Word the first document showing in my
last five documents is Normal.doc. I use Word XP at work on my work computer and this does not happen. |

Is the file name "Normal.doc" or "Normal.dot"?
If the latter then my first thought is you have an add-in creating a new Normal.dot as an attempt to add customizations for the add-in. Take a look under Tools/Templates and add-ins are there any add-ins in the Global templates list? If so what are they? I'm also wondering if you have found a piece to a mystery we are currently trying to solve where the Normal.dot mysteriously ends up containing the content of another document so please let us know what you find - we're *very* interested in any details you can provide! -- Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for assistance by email can not be acknowledged. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beth Melton Microsoft Office MVP Word FAQ: http://mvps.org/word TechTrax eZine: http://mousetrax.com/techtrax/ MVP FAQ site: http://mvps.org/ "KenS" wrote in message ...
