With Word closed, rename your normal.dot template as described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm, and delete your Word data key as described in http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissngMenusEtc.htm (except that in Word 2003, the registry key is \\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0 \Word\Data). This should return almost everything to Word's original settings, except for your custom AutoCorrect and dictionary entries.
