The
red underlined letters in your
Word document indicate that the words are
misspelled or not recognized by the program's dictionary. Here's how you can get rid of them:
- Right-click on the underlined word. A menu will appear.
- Look for the correct spelling of the word in the menu. If you see it, click on it and the red underline will disappear.
- If you don't see the correct spelling in the menu, click on "Add to Dictionary" to add the word to your personal dictionary. This will prevent Word from flagging it as misspelled in the future.
- If you want to turn off the red underlines altogether, go to the "Review" tab in the top menu and click on "Spelling & Grammar." In the dialog box that appears, uncheck the box next to "Check spelling as you type." This will turn off the red underlines for all misspelled words in your document.
